The house with lion statues may be recognized in such movies as ‘The Officer’, ‘Lady with no address’ and ‘The Twelve Chairs’ by Gaidai. The house with lion statues received it’s unofficial name due to a pair of lion statues holding shields which are situated on both sides of the front door.

The exterior is done in Russian classics style, it is characteristic of columns, heavy moldings, French balconies and bay windows. Of course this style is observed in the interior as well – dress stairs of the foyer are much the same as in the Bolshoy Theatre without exaggeration. The attic floor is transformed into a beautiful winter garden.
